Workspaces
Quick, Edit, Colour, Audio and Deliver show different controls over the same project. Switching workspaces preserves the timeline, selection, undo history and saved render data. Your workspace and panel sizes are personal preferences stored beside the editor layout.
Drag the vertical divider above the timeline to change its height. The timeline spans the window. Drag the column dividers to resize the library, stage and inspector; sizes restore when the editor opens again.
Quick groups the timeline into Picture and Audio, shows three tools and six essential inspector controls, and offers Draft, Share and Master exports. Its first-project hint advances when you import, place, trim and successfully export. Still-image projects can proceed to export without a source trim. Dismiss the hint at any time; it is hidden outside Quick.
Edit exposes numbered lanes and the full editing tools. Colour and Audio open their corresponding inspector tabs. You can still change tabs yourself. Deliver shows the render queue and advanced encoder controls. The File, Edit, View, Clip, Sequence, Window and Help menus use the same commands and keyboard bindings as the command palette.
Numeric controls accept arithmetic, arrow stepping and label scrubbing. A field’s unit controls whether it shows frames, seconds, timecode, percentages or degrees. Timecode uses the project’s frame rate; unsupported drop-frame notation is rejected instead of silently reinterpreted.
See Media bin, NLE timeline, Colour, Audio and Delivery for the controls in each workspace.
